ACLS
American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support is HeartSmarts specialty. NO ONLINE CLASS required for scheduled classes! (Initial, Renewal or Private) Private classes for experienced providers offer a quick renewal for one or two students at a time in a couple hours. Blended option of completing the video and test online, and a quick hands on skills session also available. ACLS focuses on a team concept of treatments for medical emergencies. RN/Paramedic Instructor with ASC, ER, and EMS experience. You will get the hands-on experience of using a real manual defibrillator, and insertion of airway adjuncts in an airway manikin. ALL classes can also add BLS and/or PALS renewal. To request a date not on the calendar page, fill out the contact form.
CPR/BLS
BLS for Healthcare Provider is the gold standard CPR class that teaches the lifesaving skills needed for all ages. NO ONLINE CLASS required for scheduled classes. (Initial and renewal) HeartSmart uses manikins that have feedback of depth and rate to practice quality chest compressions, and visible chest rise for ventilations. Also included is the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), rescue breathing, and choking all completed in a couple hours. CPR certification for non healthcare providers, Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid and Friends and Family also available. Happy Hour evening classes with wine and snacks. PALS
American Heart Association’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support focuses on respiratory and cardiac emergencies for children and infants. NO ONLINE CLASS required for scheduled classes, (Initial, Renewal, or Private) Private classes for experienced providers offer a quick renewal for one or two students at a time in a coupe hours. Including basic cardiac rhythms and medications. You will get the hands on experience of using a real defibrillator, IO instruction on insertion, and infant airway manikin with adjuncts to practice with. Blended option of completing the video and test online, and a quick hands on skills session also available.
